The Dog Show Team

The Dog Show Team

All the members of The Dog Show team have two things in common; a love for working in television and a love for dogs.

Joe McBride
Joe McBride, Camera Operator Joe is a musician who plays drums and piano. He has played for many years in different venues from bars to churches. He could be described as a “wild and crazy kind of guy” who keeps us laughing and the dogs who come on the show relate to him easily. He developed an interest in TV via his music and has a natural affinity for the camera. Joe wrote the theme song for The Dog Show and performs locally with the group Combo Flambé. You can contact Joe for more info joegmcbride@hotmail.com.

Karin Ostrand
Karin Ostrand, Camera Operator Karin is our “ace” team member. She has a strong background working with the camera. Karin has produced many of her own TV shows. As she is a person with many interests, she often finds herself producing a show about a hobby or current interest. We love Karin’s eye for the lens and her working knowledge of the studio and the camera.

Shawn Vougeot
Shawn Vougeot, Producer/Director - Shawn is a provocative and creative spirit. She is owner of Zooom Productions, LLC, a Twin Cities video production company: zooomproductions.com. Shawn's talent extends beyond video into the music world where she performs with her violin and stunning voice. To appreciate her talent at various venues in the Twin Cities area and to listen to her music, check out her website: shawnsings.com.

Michelle Morris
Michelle Morris, Production Assistant/Teleprompter In addition to being a full time wife and mom, Michelle has many talents. She is the “athlete” of the Dog Show Team excelling in tennis and is a full marathon runner. Michelle is avid about many other things like gardening, Bridge (the card game), and her work with dogs in agility, rescue and the Humane Society. TV is a recent addition to Michelle’s interests and she brings her keen focus and discipline to the experience.

NIkki O'Brien
Nikki O’Brien, Executive Editor Nikki is the “youngster” on the team, and has education and excellent work experience in film and television already as a producer, actor and editor. Nikki loves to edit and definitely has the eye for it. In addition to being a creative and fluid editor, she is organized! Nikki is a freelance editor and can be reached at: Nicole_k_ob@yahoo.com

Lucy Blanchfield
Lucy Blanchfield, Audio Engineer Lucy radiates creative energy; she has an eye for the camera and is a photographer in her own rite. She is always engaged in creating something whether a craft item or creatively engaging her grandchildren. Lucy is patient and committed and has taken on the audio responsibility for the show. We don't know how we managed with out her and are delighted she is a member of The Dog Show team.

She has been teaching others to train their dogs since 1990 and works with hundreds of dogs and their owners every year. Denise believes dog training should be fun for both human and canine and should increase the bond with our dogs. All her training is done using dog and human friendly methods. In addition to training, Denise works with dogs with behavior issues.
