Donna Chicone is the creator, writer, assisting editor, executive producer and host of “The Dog Show”. Donna has over 8 years of experience working on both sides of the camera for TV. In 2007 The Dog Show was recognized by NATOA “National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors”. www.natoa.org We received an Honorable Mention in the category Interview/Talk show with a budget under $200,000. This was an award for the year 2007. Needless to say we were very proud the show was able to gain attention this early in its production.
In 2008 NATOA www.natoa.org recognized The Dog Show again and we received First Place in the category Interview/Talk show with a budget under $200,000. The Dog Show received first out of nine entries in the Interview and Talk Show category. These are sent in from all over the nation and from a wide range of staff-size and budget-size studios, so it is no small accomplishment to receive First Place. This is certainly nice recognition of the show and its evolution.
October 2008 we were recognized by SCC (Suburban Community Channels). The Dog Show won an award for "sets/props/lighting Excellence" and have a lovely trophy. This is a statement of our team contribution and effort to make the show the best it can be. SCC www.scctv.org is the station we tape the show from.
2008 The Dog Show has won an AVA “Gold” Award. Ava Awards is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP). www.avaawards.com The Dog Show won a gold award in the category of TV Programs/Community Access. Gold awards are presented to entries judged to exceed the high standards of the industry norm. Gold winners are also listed on the website.
